How to Get Powder & Liquid Foundation Out of Carpet

If you end up with foundation on your carpet you will want to grab a butter knife or spoon, clear dishwashing liquid, cold water, paper towels, and a vacuum cleaner. First use your butter knife or spoon to get as much of the foundation off of your carpet as possible. Next mix a few drops of the dish soap with some cold water in a bowl. Take a paper towel and lightly dampen it with the soap mixture. Starting from the outside edge of the stain and working in, gently blot at the stain. You will want to make sure that you do not scrub the carpet since this could make the foundation go further into the fibers of your carpet. Keep dabbing until the foundation is all off of the carpet. Get a new paper towel and dampen it with water. Dab the paper towel on the treated area to get the soap out of your carpet. Give the carpet time to dry completely. Once it is dry vacuum the spot where the stain was located.

How to Remove Black & Dark Eyeshadow Stains from Carpet

The products that are used in eyeshadow can make it an extra challenge to clean off of your carpet. Many eyeshadows are oil based. As you probably know, anything with oil in it is a challenge to remove from your carpet. For eyeshadow removal you will need hydrogen peroxide, water, and microfiber cloths. If your carpets are a darker color you will want to test the hydrogen peroxide in a small area since it does have bleaching properties in it. Take the hydrogen peroxide and put a few drops directly onto the stained area. Let the hydrogen peroxide sit for one minute on your stain. Take your dry microfiber cloth and blot the area. Make sure that you do not scrub as that will further embed the stain in the carpet fibers. Once the eyeshadow is gone take a new microfiber cloth and dampen it with clean water. Use this cloth to remove hydrogen peroxide.
